 ALRI promotes U.S.–Libya cooperation, supports democratic transition, and connects Libyan and American elites to foster mutual understanding. It is led by distinguished Libyan scholars from the US and Libya.

The American Libyan Relations Institute aims to foster U.S.–Libya collaboration by advancing democratic progress and contributing to the establishment of stable and effective government institutions in Libya.

U.S.–Libya Dialogue

We foster constructive dialogue between American and Libyan leaders, scholars, and policymakers to promote mutual understanding, trust, and long-term cooperation.

Policy & Advocacy

ALRI supports inclusive policy development by engaging with stakeholders to advocate for democratic governance, civil society, and human rights in Libya.

Leadership

We provide training, mentorship, and institutional support to Libyan civil society leaders, young professionals, and educators to strengthen local governance and civic engagement.

Educational Outreach

Our programs connect Libyan and American academic communities through seminars, study exchanges, and collaborative research on topics vital to peace, development, and security.

Innovation & Digital Access

ALRI promotes the use of digital tools and innovative solutions to expand access to information, support media freedom, and empower citizens through technology.
